Vinyasa Flow
Likely the most popular style of yoga practiced in the West, Vinyasa Flow will keep you moving! This class will have you flowing continuously through strong sequences of traditional Sun Salutations and standing postures, linking breath with movement. You’ll build strength and endurance while gracefully exploring the potential of balance and flexibility. This invigorating class will get you “in the zone,” so get ready to breathe, sweat, and float into the sweet spot, landing in blissful relaxation.
Chair Yoga
Chair yoga provides an alternative approach to traditional poses that are practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. This class is ideal for those who would like to improve flexibility and strength, but would benefit from the additional support of a chair as a prop. Students will practice breath work and yoga postures with an appropriate level of challenge. You will feel incredible! (If you are actively healing from a recent surgery or injury, please check with your physician to see if chair yoga is appropriate for you at this time).
Empower Yoga
Empower yoga is a vigorous, fitness-based approach to vinyasa-style yoga. It is an experience that will transcend your physical yoga practice and permeate every area of your life. While incorporating the athleticism of Ashtanga, Amber builds a class that will be the ultimate cross training of your body and your mind. EmPower Yoga will help you gain strength, stamina, flexibility, and balance, while also pushing you cardiovascularly. Mental strength will be gained by finding your calm and stillness in the long-held powerful postures.
It is called Empower Yoga--not just because of its powerful postures and flows--but because it is also incredibly emPOWERing. This class will help you to become the very best version of yourself, physically and mentally. And what’s more emPOWERing than feeling your best?
Yin & Vin
Yin & Vin is the ideal combo! This class will start with meditation and yin yoga poses to promote your focus and flexibility. Yin poses are sequenced to provide long, slow stretches of the fascia, or connective tissues of your body. The second half of the class shifts to a tension-relieving, heartwarming flow, ending with Savasana. Start your Friday night feeling calm, peaceful and balanced after this dynamic practice.
Inner Calm Yin
Experience the relaxing and rejuvenating wonder of yin yoga, a calm, slow practice that emphasizes mindful breathing and long-held poses. With a focus on the connective tissues, yin will enhance your flexibility while reducing mental stress and "clutter." It is an ideal practice to "decompress" right after work or to prepare for a more active workout. This class may be practiced in a warm room with infrared heat. Come experience the benefits!
In2 Ashtanga
This vigorous, sequential style of yoga is based on Ashtanga ("Eight Limbs"), an ancient form of yoga, and synchronizes breath and movement, creating an internal, purifying heat. Our Ashtanga-influenced practice is designed to enhance your body awareness; build strength and stamina, increase your energy; and provide deeper levels of peace and happiness. We will warm up with a series of Sun Salutations, then move to a series of standing and balancing postures, seated poses, backbends, finishing postures and a closing sequence.
Soul Nectar Restorative Yin Yoga
This gentle, restorative class is a slow sequence of longer held supported floor postures designed for the body to release tension, deeply relax, explore what it needs, and really notice how it feels. This class will mindfully guide the body into stillness. This class works well for beginners, but is open to all levels.
Slow Flow Vinyasa
Slow Flow incorporates breath work, and a focused flowing sequence of seated, standing, and balancing postures. With consistent practice, you will gain strength, flexibility, and an overall sense of well-being. Check out our Candlelight Flow, on Thursdays at 7:30 pm, too! Slow Flow instructors will offer modifications, so this class is suitable for all levels.
Yoga Basics
Our Basic Yoga class provides an exploration of common yoga postures, breathing, and mindfulness at a safe and slow pace, with the appropriate amount of challenge. You will learn how to "feel" the poses, becoming more aware of your balance, breath, and alignment. If you a beginner, or fairly new to yoga, or are looking for flexibility, tone, and simply an overall sense of well-being, this is an ideal class for you!
Yoga for Healthy Aging
As we grow older, many of us become more susceptible to conditions that are linked to aging, such as joint and low back pain, reduced balance and memory loss. The many benefits of yoga have long been said to slow - or even slowly reverse - the aging process. This class will maximize your balance, range of motion and strength while sharpening your mind and relieving stress. Poses and sequences will be offered so that you can work with and appreciate the body and mind you have as they change with age, perfect for brand new beginners or as an excellent addition to your current practice. We encourage students to use props, modify poses, transition carefully, and find their appropriate balance between ease and effort. Special attention is paid to building core strength and balance to prevent falls. Breath work, relaxation and meditation practices are included to encourage stress reduction. This class will provide you with a toolbox for fostering Strength Balance Flexibility and agility, emotional stability, equanimity, and stress management, and brain health
